Ingredients
- Fresh Strawberries: 1 pound, large and firm
- Cream Cheese: 4 ounces, softened
- Powdered Sugar: 1/4 cup
- Vanilla Extract: 1/2 teaspoon
- Lemon Zest: 1/4 teaspoon (optional, for a hint of citrus)
- Graham Cracker Crumbs: 2 tablespoons (optional, for garnish)
- Mini Chocolate Chips: 2 tablespoons (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
- Wash and dry the strawberries. Cut off the tops and hollow out the center.
- In a medium bowl, beat softened cream cheese until smooth.
- Add powdered sugar, vanilla extract, and lemon zest (if using). Beat until combined.
- Transfer filling to a piping bag or zip-top bag with a corner snipped.
- Pipe the filling into the hollowed-out strawberries.
- Optional: Dip the filled strawberries in graham cracker crumbs or sprinkle with mini chocolate chips.
- Chill in the refrigerator for at least 15 minutes before serving.
