- 1 medium head of green cabbage, finely shredded (about 6 cups)
- 1/2 cup shredded carrots
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 1 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup BBQ sauce (your favorite brand!)
- 2 tablespoons apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
- 1 tablespoon Dijon mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon celery seed
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, shredded carrots, and chopped red onion.
- In a separate, medium bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, BBQ sauce, apple cider vinegar, sugar, Dijon mustard, celery seed, salt, and pepper until smooth. Taste and adjust seasonings as needed.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and toss well to ensure everything is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl tightly with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 2 hours, to allow the flavors to meld together.
