  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) cold unsalted butter, cut into small pieces

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine apple slices, sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, and lemon juice in a large bowl.
  3. Pour apple mixture into a 9 inch baking dish.
  4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt.
  5. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
  6. Sprinkle crumble topping over apple filling.
