Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup all purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons melted butter (for brushing)

Instructions

  1. In a medium saucepan, combine water, butter, and salt. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
  2. Remove from heat and immediately add the flour. Stir vigorously with a wooden spoon until a smooth dough forms and pulls away from the sides of the pan.
  3. Let the dough cool slightly for about 5 minutes. Then, add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition until fully incorporated. The dough should be smooth and pipeable.
  4. Preheat your air fryer to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Transfer the dough to a piping bag fitted with a large star tip. Pipe small churro bites onto a lightly greased air fryer basket, leaving space between each bite.
  6. Air fry for 8 10 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.
  7. While the churro bites are cooking, combine granulated sugar and cinnamon in a shallow bowl.
  8. Brush the cooked churro bites with melted butter and immediately toss them in the cinnamon sugar mixture, ensuring they are evenly coated.
  9. Serve immediately and enjoy!
