Tender steak and cheesy tortellini coated in a creamy garlic sauce. Comfort food at its finest, ready in under an hour!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound sirloin steak, cut into 1 inch cubes
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 4 tablespoons butter
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/2 cup dry white wine (optional)
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • Pinch of red pepper flakes (optional)
  • 20 ounces cheese tortellini (fresh or frozen)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Marinate the steak: In a bowl, combine the olive oil, minced garlic, soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, dried thyme, and black pepper. Add the steak cubes and toss to coat evenly. Marinate for at least 30 minutes, or up to 4 hours in the refrigerator.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat a large skillet or cast iron pan over medium high heat. Add the marinated steak and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until browned on all sides and cooked to your desired doneness. Remove the steak from the skillet and set aside.
  3. Make the Garlic Cream Sauce: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the minced garlic and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until fragrant.
  4. Deglaze the Pan (Optional): If using, pour in the white wine and scrape up any browned bits from the bottom of the skillet. Cook for 1 to 2 minutes, or until the wine has reduced slightly.
  5. Add Cream and Cheese: Pour in the heavy cream, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes (if using). Bring the sauce to a simmer and cook for 3 to 5 minutes, or until slightly thickened.
  6. Cook the Tortellini: While the sauce is simmering, cook the tortellini according to package directions. Drain well.
  7. Combine and Serve: Add the cooked tortellini and steak to the garlic cream sauce. Toss to coat evenly. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve immediately.
