Description
This easy lobster tail recipe makes restaurant quality lobster at home, in under 30 minutes! Baked or broiled, perfect for any special occasion!
Ingredients
Scale
- 4 lobster tails (6–8 ounces each)
- 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- 1/2 teaspoon dried parsley
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- Lemon wedges, for serving
Instructions
- 1.Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Using kitchen shears, cut through the top shell of each lobster tail, from the end of the tail to the body, being careful not to cut through the meat. Gently separate the shell and lift the lobster meat, keeping the end of the tail attached to the shell.
- 2.In a small bowl, combine the melted butter, minced garlic, lemon juice, paprika, parsley, salt, and pepper. Mix well to ensure the butter is evenly infused with the flavors.
- 3.Generously brush the lobster meat with the garlic butter sauce, making sure it gets into all the crevices. Reserve some of the sauce for basting during cooking.
- 4.Place the lobster tails on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Bake for 12 15 minutes, or until the lobster meat is opaque and firm. Baste with the reserved garlic butter sauce halfway through the cooking time. The internal temperature should reach 140°F (60°C).
- 5.For additional browning, broil the lobster tails for the last 1-2 minutes, watching carefully to prevent burning. Ensure the lobster is placed about 6 inches below the broiler.
- 6.Remove the lobster tails from the oven and let them rest for a couple of minutes. Serve immediately with lemon wedges for squeezing.
