- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
- 3 cups powdered sugar
- ¼ cup heavy cream
- ½ teaspoon peppermint extract
- Few drops green food coloring (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch pan.
- Whisk melted butter and sugar. Add eggs, vanilla, and peppermint extract.
- Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder, and salt.
- Gradually add dry to wet ingredients, mix until combined.
- Pour batter into pan and bake for 2530 minutes.
- Let cool completely.
- Make ganache: Pour hot cream over chocolate, let sit, then stir until smooth. Add peppermint extract.
- Pour ganache over cooled brownies and chill.
- Make frosting: Beat butter, add powdered sugar, cream, peppermint extract, and food coloring.
- Spread frosting over ganache and cut into squares.
