- 1 small head of cabbage, finely shredded (about 5 cups)
- 1/4 cup grated carrot
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped onion
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/3 cup granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/4 cup buttermilk
- 2 1/2 tablespoons white vinegar
- 1 1/2 tablespoons lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/8 teaspoon black pepper
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, and chopped onion. Mix well and set aside.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the mayonnaise, sugar, milk, buttermilk, white vinegar, lemon juice, salt, and pepper until smooth.
- Pour the dressing over the cabbage mixture and stir until everything is evenly coated.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to allow the flavors to meld together. Ideally, chilling for 4 hours is best.
