- 1 (12-14 ounce) package Lil’ Smokies
- 1 (20 ounce) can pineapple chunks, drained well
- 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed
- 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
- 1 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Optional: 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes
Instructions
- 1. Drain the pineapple chunks thoroughly. Pat them dry with a paper towel.
- 2. In a large skillet or saucepan, melt the butter over medium heat.
- 3. Stir in the brown sugar until dissolved and smooth.
- 4. Add the soy sauce and garlic powder. Stir well. Add red pepper flakes, if using.
- 5. Gently fold in the drained pineapple chunks.
- 6. Add the Lil’ Smokies and stir to coat.
- 7. Bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, then reduce the heat to low. Cover and simmer for 15-20 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the Lil’ Smokies are heated through and the sauce has thickened.
