Fudgy and chewy valentine’s m&m brownies packed with colorful Valentine’s Day themed M&Ms. The perfect easy to make dessert for the season of love!

- 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup Valentine’s Day themed M&Ms, plus extra for topping
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
- Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl or in a saucepan over low heat.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
- Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
- Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
- Gently fold in 1 cup of Valentine’s Day M&Ms.
- Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top of the batter.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
- Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
