Description

Fudgy and chewy valentine’s m&m brownies packed with colorful Valentine’s Day themed M&Ms. The perfect easy to make dessert for the season of love!


Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3/4 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1 cup Valentine’s Day themed M&Ms, plus extra for topping

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour an 8×8 inch baking pan.
  2. Melt the butter in a microwave safe bowl or in a saucepan over low heat.
  3. In a large mixing bowl, combine the melted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar. Mix well until smooth and creamy.
  4. Beat in the eggs one at a time, then stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. In a separate bowl, whisk together the flour, cocoa powder, salt, and baking powder.
  6. Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined. Be careful not to overmix!
  7. Gently fold in 1 cup of Valentine’s Day M&Ms.
  8. Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan. Sprinkle the remaining M&Ms on top of the batter.
  9. Bake for 25-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with moist crumbs.
  10. Let the brownies cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares.
