- 2 pounds grapes, any variety
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- ¾ cup light corn syrup
- ¾ cup water
- A few drops of food coloring, any color
- 1 teaspoon flavoring extract (vanilla, almond, or your favorite)
- Sprinkles, optional, for decoration
Instructions
- 1. Wash and dry the grapes thoroughly.
- 2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone mat.
- 3. In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, corn syrup, and water. Stir well.
- 4. Cook over medium heat, without stirring, until the mixture reaches 300°F to 310°F (hard crack stage).
- 5. Remove from heat and quickly stir in food coloring and flavoring extract.
- 6. Dip each grape into the hot candy mixture, swirling to coat.
- 7. Place on the prepared pan and sprinkle with toppings, if desired.
- 8. Cool completely until the candy coating hardens.
- 9. Serve and enjoy!
