Description
This Peach Lemonade is a delightful blend of sweet peaches and tart lemons, perfect for a refreshing summer drink. Easy to make with fresh ingredients!
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 cups peeled and chopped ripe peaches
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup water
- 1 cup fresh lemon juice (about 6–8 lemons)
- 4 cups cold water
- Ice, for serving
- Optional: Peach slices, Lemon slices, Fresh mint sprigs
Instructions
- 1. Make the Peach Syrup: In a medium saucepan, combine the chopped peaches, sugar, and water. Bring to a simmer over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
- 2. Simmer and Mash: Reduce the heat to low and simmer for 10-15 minutes, or until the peaches are soft and the syrup has thickened slightly. Use a fork or potato masher to gently mash the peaches.
- 3. Strain the Syrup: Pour the peach mixture through a fine mesh sieve into a heatproof bowl, pressing down on the solids to extract as much syrup as possible. Discard the solids.
- 4. Combine the Lemonade: In a large pitcher, combine the peach syrup, lemon juice, and cold water. Stir well until thoroughly mixed.
- 5. Chill: Refrigerate the lemonade for at least 30 minutes to allow the flavors to meld.
- 6. Serve: Fill glasses with ice and pour the peach lemonade over the ice. Garnish with peach slices, lemon slices, and fresh mint sprigs, if desired.
