Description

Easy no bake Patriotic Oreo Balls perfect for Fourth of July celebrations. These delicious treats are made with Oreo cookies, cream cheese, and white chocolate.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package (14.3 ounces) Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 12 ounces white chocolate melting wafers (or almond bark)
  • Red, white, and blue sprinkles
  • Optional: Red and blue food coloring for tinting the white chocolate

Instructions

  1. 1. Crush the Oreos: In a food processor, pulse the Oreo cookies until they are finely crushed. Alternatively, place the cookies in a large resealable bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
  2. 2. Combine with Cream Cheese: In a large bowl, combine the crushed Oreo crumbs and softened cream cheese. Mix well until a smooth, dough like consistency forms.
  3. 3. Roll into Balls: Roll the Oreo mixture into 1 inch balls. Place the balls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  4. 4. Chill: Place the baking sheet with the Oreo balls in the freezer for at least 30 minutes. This helps them firm up, making them easier to dip.
  5. 5. Melt the White Chocolate: While the Oreo balls are chilling, melt the white chocolate wafers according to the package directions. If you want colored chocolate, divide the melted chocolate into separate bowls and add a drop or two of red or blue food coloring to each.
  6. 6. Dip the Oreo Balls: Remove the Oreo balls from the freezer. Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each ball into the melted white chocolate, ensuring it is completely coated.
  7. 7. Add Sprinkles: Immediately sprinkle the red, white, and blue sprinkles over the chocolate coated balls before the chocolate sets.
  8. 8. Set and Serve: Place the dipped Oreo balls back on the parchment lined baking sheet. Allow the chocolate to set completely. You can speed this up by placing them in the refrigerator for about 15 to 20 minutes.
  9. 9. Enjoy: Celebrate with these festive and tasty Patriotic Oreo Balls!
